Sidney

Initially when we were looking for a dog, we were getting ideas and "just looking" (of course, you're never "just looking"). And that's when we found Sidney (at the time Mimi). We saw her adorable face and read her story when it hit us. We became so captivated by her story and the life she had that it became much more important to see if we could help her and give her the love she so needed. We talked about her for hours and decided to meet her.

When we'd first found her, we hadn't realized she wasn't in the United States. After going on ARSI's website we read that she would be an international rescue. We had never heard of that before. It sounds like something you're warned about. We saw testimonials from others and it was reassuring so we decided to go for it!

We has a very thorough interview with Kenneth and we were put completely at ease. ARSI is a fantastic organization that really, truly cares for the animals it has and wants to be sure they go to good homes. We were thrilled to find a company with people who had the love and passion we needed to see before adopting. They even held her for weeks longer than the first flight since they had been in the middle of helping her with her vet treatments and wanted to ensure she came to us perfectly healthy (which she was!).

We appreciate so much what they did for her; saving her, treating her, loving her, and bringing her to us. She is such a character and has really gotten comfortable with us. She's currently sitting between us impatiently because she sees her harness and knows we're about to go for her walk! She's very smart, often tilting her head at questions and trying to understand. We can't imagine life without her and we have ARSI to thank for that. We truly wouldn't trade our experience for anything. We now share our story about our funny little sausage to other people. If you can support ARSI, please do! there's no better way to help an animal in need.
